In addition to working with a number of Chinese corporations and government-related parties, BNN entered into agreements with leading global football clubs Manchester City FC, Arsenal FC and FC Barcelona to develop exclusive club content and unique promotions targeted at soccer fans across China.

BNN was founded by Darren Mercer in 2007 as DJI Holdings. The Company listed on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange in 2014, through an Initial Public Offering. BNN delisted from AIM in February 2018.

In July 2018, BNN announced it had acquired a 14.89 percent stake in Micronet Enertec Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQCM: MICT) and the two companies jointly announced the execution of a Letter of Intent to enter into a series of strategic transactions.

In December 2018, a definitive acquisition agreement was signed by BNN's subsidiary Brookfield Interactive (Hong Kong), MICT Inc and ParagonEx Ltd. (Read Full announcement here with additional information to follow on here). The three parties announced the intention to form a merged entity, Global Fintech Holdings (GFH). Completion of the transaction is conditional upon, amongst other items, GFH achieving a planned NASDAQ listing.

Darren Mercer said:

“We are extremely excited to have agreed a combination of three highly complementary companies. Together they provide an underlying business that is very profitable, boasting a world class technology platform with big data analytical capability, a management team with decades of experience building highly profitable technology companies and an opportunity to monetize a number of significant commercial relationships in China. The blend of these companies enables the combined entity to benefit from the specialisms inwhich each element excels and allows us to view the future with considerable confidence.”
